Wheat:
Wheat is one of the most important staple food grains of human race. It is used mainly as flour for making a variety of breads, baking products such as: cakes, noodles, crackers, breakfast foods, biscuits, cookies and confectionery items. Over 90 per cent of the wheat produced in the country is ground in chakkis to obtain flour. The remaining 10 per cent pass through roller flour mills to yield maida and white flour used mainly for making a variety of bakery products. Most of the domestic consumption is found in the form of homemade chapattis or rotis using custom milled atta.
